Motivation for Teachers

Hello everybody,

In this new post I want to talk about MOTIVATION, especially motivation for Teachers. I strongly believe that everybody needs motivation in order to be successful on what you do but, it is very important to take in account this element because Motivation helps people to get started, to keep moving, also Motivation makes people do more than necessary and in the same manner, Motivation makes the journey funny and easier.

For this reason, the other day I noticed that there is a great and big difference between doing something you really like and love and doing the same thing mentioned before but without motivation. That is why; if you are motivated, you are able to do whatever you want without anybody forcing you to do it.

Just imagine yourself as a Motivated Teacher… how many things do you believe you can do if you are motivated? Now, think about your students, how many changes could you see and experiment with them if they are motivated? I am sure you will answer a lot of positive things.

The other day, I was exploring on the web and I found this video which was designed especially to motivated Teachers for this reason, I want to share it with all of you I hope you like it. It is really interesting because some things are related to the whole Reality we lived in our daily teaching practices.

Finally, I believe that if we are motivated about something we can be able to do whatever we want because if we want to do something we can do it. Why not?

Now, watch this other video, it was created especially for Teachers. Tell me what do you think? :)

Here I want to share with you some interesting quotes about teaching, I hope you like them, just do click in the next image which has an hyperlink.

  1. Hi Yesi,

I found your post very interesting; in fact, I also believe that everyone must enjoy his/her occupation. If you are well motivated, your performance increases dramatically and teachers are not the exception of the rule. We as teachers need to transmit more than knowledge; there are many other aspects that cannot be transmitted unless we have a good level of motivation towards our job.

    • Hi dear Alberto,

Thank you for your comment, I am totally agree.
I strongly believe people need a very good level of motivation in order to be successful in what you are doing, not matter what is your occupation, everybody need motivation.

      Good bye!

  2. What yo wrote here is totally true because sometimes teachers discourage because of students´behaviour, but what helps is to think about their students who thank to teachers and we keep doing our job because we know some students it does not matter that all students do not attention but for those who pay attention is important no to fell discouraged.

    • Hello :)

      Thank you for your comment.
You mentioned something very important “student’s behaviour” that is a very important factor that we as teachers have to deal with everyday… But, at the end it is also part of our job isn’t it?… what do you think? :)

      See you! :)

  3. Thanks for your post Yesy, it is ispirational, is nice to think about teachers in very positive ways and as a calling, the word teacher evoques in us many memories, most of them relate us to our chilhood, our good teachers in elementay or secondary school, our first lessons and those school days with friends and books. Beeing a teacher is a noble profession and has a very special place in society. Congrtulations again for ypur post and thank you very much.

  4. Hello Yesy!
yes you are right, when you are teacher and also a student, you have to be motivated, so you can enjoy what you are doing, in the case of the teacher you will enjoy you are teaching and in the case of the student you will enjoy your learning.
